Swavet Hypo is a specialized powdered additive containing 995g/kg Sodium Thiosulphate, designed for ruminant animals (cattle, sheep, and goats). It is a crucial aid in the treatment of prussic acid poisoning (Geilsiekte), a dangerous condition that can occur when animals ingest certain plants, especially during drought or after rain.

Administered orally as a 25% solution or added to drinking water, Swavet Hypo helps to counteract the toxic effects of prussic acid, safeguarding animal health and well-being. It's typically given once for treatment, and can also be used as a preventative measure by adding it to drinking water every 3-4 days in areas where prussic acid poisoning is a risk.
